Nirvana drummer/Foo frontman Grohl directs this passionate story of how a dumpy recording studio in Van Nuys CA managed to produce one hit record after another from the early 70s through the late 90s from some of the biggest names in rock.
Part rock history, part recording 101, this is one of the best rockumentaries out there. Grohl proves he's got a lot of soul and is as much of a force behind the camera as he is behind the drum kit.
