Review of Soul Surfer (2011) by Robin J — 30 Mar 2012
A solid movie and very inspirational. I'm not sure why other reviewers found it 'preachy', I didn't. I actually enjoyed seeing that part if her life and how it made their family the unit it is. Carrie Underwood is not believable and, thankfully her scenes are brief.
But the surfing, the cinematography and Hawaii have never looked better. The shark attack is bloody, and quite intense, children under 12 should watch with an adult. But even that scene was very well done. All in all a good family movie. The end credits are great too.
