Review of Soul Surfer (2011) by Lynda C — 09 May 2013

I found this movie to be better than I expected. If you are a sports enthusiast, it was great seeing the surfing competition scenes. There were awesome camera shots of curling waves, underwater perspective shots, etc.

The story was inspiring and it was refreshing to see a family depicted in such a loving and supportive manner. Instead of the usual Hollywood fare that depends heavily upon violence and perversity, this movie was almost the opposite, it reflected upon inspirational viewpoints of life, it acknowledged how our attitude can affect the quality of our lives.

The movie was uplifting, interesting throughout, and was a positive source of entertainment for the entire family. I highly recommend seeing it.
