Review of Soul Kitchen (2009) by Kimberly C — 02 Jan 2011
Another really great film from Fatih Akin. This one is definitely more on the lighter side and is simply a wild ride all the way throughout. He borrows a bit from Kusturica's craziness, Win Wender's post-modern atmosphere and breaks all the rules, at the same time.
I loved the cinematography in this one, as well as all the eclectic set of main characters. It definitely is a wonderful and fresh film. Big thumbs up.
