Review of Sorry to Bother You (2018) by Nathanael R — 14 Oct 2018
This film is a godsend in todays world. It's critism of both capitalism and centrist liberals is fantastic and I cannot think of a more excellent critism (I studied film in undergrad). Many criticize this film for being "too transparent" but honestly it hit the mark.
When It's a Wonderful Life came out it had "communist themes" yet now it has been fully incorporated into capitalist society. Sorry To Bother You will not fall down that path and for that I love it.
