If for no other reason, see it for the big hair. Beth Grant, Bonnie Bedelia, Delta Burke, Beau Bridges and most of the remaining cast play their parts to hilarious perfection. I disagree that these people are white trash.
They are east Texans -- honest, well-meaning, but also fractious, prone to hysterics and vulnerable. They're real people, but in that inimitable over-the-top Texas style.
