Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Melissa B — 19 Jan 2008
I can't believe I just watched this movie for the first time this afternoon. Meryl Streep alone gives a five star perfomance. Kevin Kline gives one of the strongest performances of his career and his character immediately skyrocketed to one of my favorites in film.
The level of emotion Streep portrays is astounding as she appears to be holding back a tidal wave of tears throughout the entire film. This film addresses morality, passion, love, madness, and art and I loved every second of it.
