Good acting, but rather anti-climactic. Almost too episodic, without a clear coherent theme. The big secret, when revealed, didn't actually reflect anything negative about Sophie's character - just a woman faced with a horrible decision.
And it felt a tad gimmicky. It doesn't tell us much about the holocaust or human nature or anything of universal interest.
