Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Chad B — 21 Jul 2008
Meryl Streep absolutely destroyed me with her performance as Sophie. There is not another actress capable of the range, facility and depth on display in this film. She speaks fluent German with a Polish accent throughout half of the movie along side an all German cast, for the love of Christ! A heartbreaking story, expertly told by Pakula and his cast.
