It's a decent film, and Streep's and Kline's performances are marvelous. But the directing and script are extremely lazy. The use of voice-over is especially annoying and pointless, and several plot lines surface and are then ignored, and should have better been left out altogether.
A 2 hour recut would have served the film better.
