This is a film so devestatingly brilliant with an iconic performance from the great Meryl Streep. What made "Sophie's Choice" such a great film is that it could have come off as manipulative and maudlin, but director Alan J.
Pakula, and Meryl Streep's performance make this film feel so honest and so real.
