Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Stephen G — 01 Sep 2008
The entire movie is set in a few rooms and prison cells. This is cause for claustrophobia but the crisp dialogue and brilliant acting (especially by Jentsch and Held) makes this true story come alive. Having visited Auschwitz earlier this year, I am more sensitive to the Nazi crimes against humanity and it's refreshing (albeit sad) to see courageous stories like this.
