Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Praveen P — 07 Jan 2009
This is just a great story. The form of the film is mostly so-so, at least until the final moments, which through some crafty editing and camera placement add to the impending dread. However, the significant element here is the actual story itself, as the film displays a character who does not simply criticize and tear down, but has some larger purpose that drives her, some positive vision of the world that is profoundly humanist and interestingly, informed by her faith.
