Review of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (1996) by Ernest L — 16 Nov 2008
Could've been a little better but definitely could have been a lot worse. Sonic the Hedgehog, with its old-school cell shaded animation, is one of the better video game film adaptations so far. It's short but enjoyable with decent voice acting in the Japanese audio track (the English, on the other hand, is one to avoid.
If you're a fan of older anime or of the blue streak Sonic, this is a mildly enjoyable experience.
