Review of Song of the South (1946) by Andrew R — 02 Nov 2008
According to Disney, black people didn't have independent thoughts, nor did they have a sense of self worth. In fact, you could push them around and they'd just smile and say â??s'how's 'bout a story, massa?â??.
If you are sensitive to issues surrounding race, don't see it- or watch it if you want to see some mainstream pop culture during a time when sambo's eating watermelon were commonplace.
