Review of Song of the South (1946) by Tara R — 14 Jul 2007
It's cute, and catchy, and the message that little Johnny needs his daddy is inoffensive... too bad the majority of the film is nonsatirical animals-as-derogatory-stereotypes of blacks, related by an old man who's just so happy that he gets to be a slave.
Although, watching it in the context of "Pulled from the shelves!" and "This is how people thought?!" is pretty funny.
