Review of Song of the Sea (2014) by Kyle B — 30 Jul 2015
It's a visual masterpiece with every frame acting as a piece of art enough to be hung in a museum of great art pieces. While I was swept away with the visuals and the beautiful score, the story was a bit lacking but Brendan Gleeson and Fionnula Flanagan provide terrific vocal performances as do the kids.
I can see why it got nominated for Animated Movie at the Oscars this past year for the visuals alone because they are truly extraordinary.
