Review of Sonatine (1993) by Steen T — 09 Nov 2007
After having been set up by their boss, a group of yakuza hang out in a cabin by the beach. They spend their time playing silly games and just goofing around. The humour, much like the violence, is throw-away and underplayed.
Probably very much an acquired taste but I find Kitano Takeshi hilarious. I think this might be my favourite movie of his.
