Review of Son of Frankenstein (1939) by Nikki C — 28 Jan 2008
Actually Roland V Lee directed it. A melancholy setting and psychological bitterness pervades this classic. The one-armed Inspector and crazy Ygor with his broken neck are magnificent creations. The music is some of the best in the series, and is available on CD.
They don't make films like them any more.
