Review of Somewhere in Time (1980) by Paul L — 27 Mar 2009
How far would you go for love...and what would you do to get there???
A young playwright is handed an old pocket watch by an elderly woman, who then asks him to "Come back to me". Some years later, while on retreat, he sees the portrait of a hauntingly beautiful actress from a bygone era...and soon finds out just how far the quest for true love will take him. This is everything a great "date" movie should be...the music score is superb, Ms. Seymour radiant in her role, and the need for plenty of Kleenex is just sooooo there!!! Too bad this movie almost feels as if it could have been written by Rod (Twilight Zone) Sterling...hmmmmm, well maybe not...?!?
