Well, Sofia Coppola is in full Godardian mode here. There is no plot, minimal dialogue, but any filler would have made it less genuine. The fact that we are watching the story play out slowly makes it seem very real.
I don't like Stephen Dorff usually, but I thought he worked well here. Maybe, another actor could have been better, but I still thought he was better than he's ever been. Sofia Coppola seems to be able to make very interesting yet minimalistic films.
