Oh my God! I used to have some affection for Coppola's movies, yet the older I get the more deathly whimsical her films seem. Somewhere is so deathly whimsical that you seriously need to take a healthy handful of uppers before watching if you don't wish to be bored out of your fucking mind.
This movie is PRECISELY why people don't like art movies. I wish I could tell you all that they're not all like this, but as long as Coppola is out there making movies that would be a lie.
