Review of Something Wild (1986) by Will D — 27 Nov 2007
Wild certainly describes this movie, the story of an uptight Manhattan buisnessman who is unwillingly drawn into a road trip by a mysterious carefree woman. The best thing about this movie is how it slowly evolves from a quirky comedy into a tense thriller, how many other movies do that so well.
.or do that at all? Jonathan Demme is a masterful director, as always utliizing unique camerawork, editing and music as well as getting three great performances from Jeff Daniels, Melanie Griffith and Ray Liotta especially.
