Review of Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983) by Tierney S — 22 Jun 2007
I'm pretty particular about my horror and tend to lean toward gore-filled Italian exploitation horror, so it's surprising that I'm so fond of this movie considering it was produced by Disney.
But not only is it an excellent movie, it's one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. It has an awesomely creepy atmosphere and some awesomely well-acted child leads. Jonathan Price in the role of the lead villain far out-creeps his dad, and that little kid with the red hair and penetrating state is for some reason scary as shit.
Quite a unique installment in the Disney catalogue.
