Review of Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983) by Gwen — 20 Aug 2008
Dark, creepy, and visually perfect, Something Wicked This Way Comes is as close to perfection as one can imagine. Made 25 years ago, SWTWC has held up beautifully through the years. The acting is phenomenal (I DIDN'T want to strangle the lead children), particularly Jonathan Pryce's Mr. Dark. Pryce didn't need any fancy make up or special effects to seem cold and terrifying!
Don't be fooled by the PG rating or the fact Disney made this film. SWTWC is as dark as they come. The special effects are top notch and look and held up better then most films that have come two decades later. Everyone should see this film at least once in their life.
