Review of Something the Lord Made (2004) by Gerron K — 30 Nov 2007
Simply, utterly brilliant. It integrates an intelligent subject matter with the racial divides of early 1940's America. In the end the racial aspect takes a back seat to the heart surgery aspect, but the film is powerful, with an emotionally charged performance by Alan Rickman as well as more than solid one by Mos Def.
