Review of Something the Lord Made (2004) by Ernie M — 31 Dec 2009

This is one of those movies that makes you wonder why didn't I hear about this movie when it came out? I realize that it was an HBO movie, so it didn't come out in the theatre but this was an amazingly well done film that had some real knock out performances by Rickman and Mos Def.

Now I would understand some people look at the majority of Mos Def's movie performances as a little flat but he shows how subtlety is can make a character rich and interesting. I kind of wish this movie would of been sent out into theatres and gotten a little more exposure.
