Review of Something Borrowed (2011) by Yomayra C — 22 Oct 2011
This rom-com takes a lighthearted look at society's attitudes toward singledom and the pressures to marry and the bonds of friendship. By far not an Oscar worthy masterpiece and it may signal the usual clichà (C) chick flick allover, but itâ(TM)s actually an enjoyable movie, although simple, formulaic and predictable.
Ginnifer Goodwin warmly anchors this and is the real reason to see this movie; sheâ(TM)s a talented actress and comedienne who can sell the "good girl" act with breezy effortlessness. Overall the performances are filled with real emotion, real pain, and real joy.
Itâ(TM)s a cute, funny and entertaining romantic comedy you can enjoy with your love ones.
