Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Pete T — 02 Jun 2018

I'm a bit torn by this film. Some things are better left to our individual backstory imaginations, but at the same time there were some fun moments - especially the development of things within the greater SW universe. As fun as it was, I'm also not sure what the point of it all was. Rogue One was a great sidestory that connected wonderfully to the original saga, so its at a disadvantage that I must compare the two. I'll have to see how it goes with some repeat viewings. I did appreciate its efforts to go out of its way to reference both Clone Wars and Rebels.

I thought Donald Glover did a decent Billy Dee impression. I would have appreciated some more Soloisms than Ehrenreich decided to bring to the table.
