Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Adrian D — 31 May 2018
3-Star Review:
Han Solo attempts to join the Imperial Navy in order to become a pilot and get a ship to be able to save Qi'ra, the love of his life. When that fails, he joins a band of smugglers, meets Chewbacca and together, they all embark on an adventure across the galaxy to smuggle out a one of the most highly valuable resources in the galaxy.
Dropping all expectations about this movie, Solo: A Star Wars story is still a fun film that can be enjoyed by the general public. It has many thrilling action scenes and at no point does the film feel like it's dragging. At the end of the day, however, Solo is a good movie but it also your standard movie-fare, much like Deadpool 2. Nothing too special about it, it's just good. If you love Star Wars, you should definitely still go see the movie, just be ready to not come out as amazed as you would want to be. You have to go simply to enjoy a good movie and that's it.
