Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Pete M — 02 Jun 2018

Poorly lit, disjointed story line, and flimsy characters. I found myself wanting to facepalm in a few parts because the logic was simply absent. Every character had flawed motivation and very weak development. Spoilers below...

Chewy eats humans, a robot who preaches freedom is enslaved permanently, Han got his last name from a joke by an Empire officer, Lando f*cks robots, Woody's character loses his wife and never speaks or thinks about her again, a supposedly clandestine mission has an easily identifiable and tattooed character tag along, Darth Maul ignites his light saber during a phone call for no reason, and I fell asleep for a good 20 minutes of the ending and was awoken when Han's blaster killed a main character (no idea why).
