Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Damion C — 03 Jun 2018

I have to admit I enjoyed Solo even with the cameo at the end which completely threw me and had me trying to figure out where this filmed dropped into the established timeline. Liked all the characters bar one.

.. L3-37. What the hell L3-37 was meant to be I don't know it just reminded me of a really annoying Galatea from Bicentennial Man. My worry for Solo would be that it will be not so popular because of the backlash from The Last Jedi and the release so soon after.

It doesn't deserve that as for me like Rogue One it stands on its own merit. When I read R Howard was involved I didn't really expect a movie that was going to blow me away more a solid good movie and that is what it was.

After the debacle of The Last Jedi and my more luke warm opinion of The Force Awakens I'm wondering if these extended universe films are going to be better than the original time line films as Rogue One is my favourite so far with this next.
