Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Meredith W — 11 Jul 2018

This is a solid adventure movie, full of action and humour and its criticism is largely unjust. In its tell of how Hans Solo met his future co-pilot Chewbacca and encountered Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion, it is true to the original trilogy material in tone and its plot is easy to follow.

Alden Ehreneich does a decent job of giving us a backstory to Han, capturing the character's mannerisms and cadence with believability, and Donald Glover is fantastic as Lando.
