Review of Solitary Man (2009) by Jens T — 06 Mar 2011
Haven't I knew anything about this film, I would have tought this was a movie based on a theatrical play, because of the quiet, smart and intelligent monologue and dialogues and plot as in Glengarry Glen Ross.
As Glengarry Glen Ross, Solitary Man is a story about a salesman, this time a car salesman named Ben (Michael Douglas) who once where successful. But now is redused to a man with a bunch of sexual affairs, because he don't want to feel old. He marries a realitily young rich women, and one day decides to follow her daughter to check out a collage for her, and ends up have sex with her. And then His whole worlds fall apart. How shall it end?
Solitary Man is a smart, thrilling and characteristic film, with great acting performances by all. Trulley a good relaxing picture that one can watch in the middle of the week, after a long day of work. Highly recommended.
