Review of Solitary Man (2009) by Kyle H — 30 Dec 2011
The film is unashamed of the nasty intentions imbedded in the plot of an elderly Michae Douglas bedding 19 year old college students. He plays a used car salesman struggling with the ole mid-life crisis.
This film tries so hard to be quirky but ends up having us feel like we have seen this same sort of thing in other stories. I liked the performances in this movie and the actors/actresses but the story is just mediocre.
Would have been a very successful character study with more of a solid plot.
