Review of Solaris (2002) by Jeremy E — 25 Jul 2009

Without having read the book or seen the original movie, I loved this film. It is not an easy one to watch at all, but is so lush in its visual and aural representations of the planet and its affects on the crew of the ship. The events that happen to Kelvin are so haunting that by the end, I think he is relieved by his fate.

I love the soundtrack to this movie and could watch that swirling mass of a planet all day long (so long as I did not have to hallucinate!).
