Review of Solaris (2002) by Asif K — 11 Aug 2010
Based on the novel written by Stanis?aw Lem and a remake of the 1972 Russian film, Solaris starring George Clooney and Natascha McElhone and directed by award-winning director Steven Soderbergh, this science fiction drama could have been much better if not follow to closely to the original film.
While the music score is one of the best I have heard, Solaris does not live up too good in the film itself based on the slowness pacing of the film. The plot on the other hand is rather dull but towards the end it just felt dry where it could have much more to explore than rather end pretty much predictable ending.
An alright movie that's watchable.
