Review of Solaris (2002) by Richard D — 11 Feb 2011

I really wanted to like this film. It's lucky I'm giving this 60%. I liked this film, but nothing much happened, and soo much stuff was unexplained that it felt as if you didn't know what happened to which characters (with the little characters it had).

Akthough this is a thought provocking film, that made me want to see it again, just to fully understand the film. Like say "ok thats his wife. ok she's dead. ok solaris is a planet that studies you.

Not to mention Solaris had special effects in par with avatar and extrodinary art direction, but the story and characters were poorly devolped, and I could only wish for more scenes that could've been put in the film.

One last note: wear a blanket while watching this. I watched this when my airconditioner was brooken in the summer, I had goosebumps.
