Wow, I grew up on this, I used to watch it alot as a child. I watched it this Christmas for the first time in years and it's still great. There is no dialog, just all facial expressions, sounds, and music.
It was nominated for best animated short in 1982, but sadly didn't win. It is based off the story of the same name by Raymoond Briggs. It is a classic, a must see. The animation is beautiful, and the soundtrack is incredible.
