Review of Snowman (2015) by John B — 25 Dec 2013
This animated 28-minute short film is a family-friendly epic. For those who have read the book, you know the drill, the story takes place on Christmas, a little boy builds a snowman, one night the snowman comes alive and takes the boy to a world of wonder and the next day when he wakes up, it turns out the snowman has melted and he mourns over his death.
This movie was just epic! The animation looked just like the illustration from the kids book, the family-friendly theme was beautiful and we even get that kick-ass Aled Jones song "Walking In The Air" and when I heard that song for the first time, I went to heaven and back! This movie was nominated an Oscar for Best Animated Short but it should have won.
The Snowman (1982) gets a 10/10.
