Wonderful animation. Truly drawings come to life. Fantastic music too. Fits the mood, which is alternately jovial and melancholy. I remember reading the book as a kid but I didn't remember the movie until watching it recently, especially from the scene where the snowman and the boy are flying through the air.
They don't make animated films like this anymore, which is a shame.
