Review of Snowden (2016) by Adam T — 14 Dec 2016
Oliver Stone's 'Snowden' (2016) is a well shot biopic that has a divisive pace. Anthony Dod Mantle's cinematography is raw and intense, it's definitely the strongest aspect of 'Snowden'.
The performances are fine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's portrayal of Edward Snowden being slightly distracting, his accent takes a bit of getting used to; the supporting characters are forgettable. 'Snowden' has pacing issues, it's very slow moving which made my interest slip during the film's third act, despite the story being interesting.
