Review of Snowden (2016) by Kevin C — 20 Oct 2017
Oliver Stone made some great movies in the 80's and early 90's with the likes of Platoon, JFK, Wall Street and then there was the rest with the likes of Alexander, World Trade Centre and Savages, all of which could have been great but were a big mess.
Snowden is the first film I've seen of his since JFK in the early 90's which I would consider to be another great movie. Whether you're a supporter of Edward Snowden or not, the movie is still a tense thriller about one man who found wrong doing on a global scale and took the brave step to expose it.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt does a very decent impression of Snowden and the rest of the cast were spot on. Really worth seeing.
