Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Dom W — 19 Feb 2011
Blessed they are for producing the first film in color. While with some brilliant elements, this film is still very dated and highly overrated. You only have to look at Wizard of Oz, which was made only two years after this, to see how backward this film is. Whilst the characters are nice, you don't really see them do much because they are always in a long - drawn out song routine that just keeps going on....and on.... forever.
Still, a breakthrough film - but not one I can stomach watching.
