Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Daniel V — 29 Jan 2013
The Blu Ray Disc is amazing. The detail, the image, the sound. The extra features. A commentary by Walt Disney himself. If Disney takes care of Star Wars the way it has taken care of it's Blu Ray releases of it's classics, nobody should fear for this new trilogy.
It may have started with a mouse but this is the Grand Mama of them all. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is the destination on the road that Mickey Mouse paved. Uncle Walt had a dream that a real story with real emotion and real depth could be told in a way that audiences would buy into wholly as they would a film made up of flesh and blood.
He was right in 1937 and he is continues to be right in 2013.
