Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Nellie S — 25 Jan 2014
Overall, the story is a classic one and many grew up with it. For the 1930's, as well as for the era the film was set in, the storyline is good, however by modern day standards, Snow White's character is extremely whiney, passive, and rather foolish.
The Queen is vain and determined, which makes for an interesting character, and the dwarves are the comedic relief that make the movie truly worthwhile to see, something the character of Snow White on her own does not accomplish.
