Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by Lasse G — 10 May 2016
It has really been a popular trend lately, remaking old classic cartoons into live action movies. And that was also done with "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," but it's being redone and Eric, the Huntsman is getting a much bigger role this time around.
This movie constantly tries to remind you that you are actually watching a remake of an old fairytale, but that they have done some changes, but it's not like we ever need to be reminded of that because we can see it and the only thing that is basically the same are some of the characters.
Snow White and the Huntsman are some of the characters that we recognize and then not really. Then the dwarfs, but they have been changed for something that isn't exactly positive. The performances by Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron are great and they really knock it out of the park, even though the story doesn't really do that much to help the characters at all.
Kristen Stewart is fine in the movie, but her performance only change slightly from her horrible performance in "The Twilight Saga" movies. The movie isn't really that good and it definitely doesn't get better no matter how many times you watch it.
