Stunning visuals and a great performance from Charlize Theron ultimately don't save the film from being mediocre. Kristen Stewart is serviceable as Snow White and Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman is a standout.
The story is decent and dark but the script is a tad undercooked. The set design and costuming is superb however and worthy of praise. The film is not bad by any means and has moments of genuine awe. Rupert Sanders take on the fairy tale is under written but visually engrossing.
