Review of Snow Day (2000) by Josh A — 18 Jan 2008
I remember how fun this film was after seeing it the first 3 or 4 times. but once you grew up along with the popularity of snow day, you soon began to realize how predictible and cliche it really was. chevy chase began as a sarcastic egotistical meteorologist fighting for popularity of tv, to a sad, melodramatic ,self-indulgent man.
the plot was good, and the acting wasn't half bad. an upside to this was the supporting role of chris eliott as the creepy guy with the plow. his anger and loathing disgust for those children was amazing, he played the role so well.
even though it was very predictable and aimed more for the younger crowd, it was still a great joy to watch and pass the time. I heard this was suppose to be a 3-hour epic, imagine how bad snow day would of been 3 hours long? very bad.
now that I think about it...fuck predictibility, I love predictible movies and love snow day. 4 stars.
