Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Melissa B — 09 Jan 2008
Great independent film. Wasn't released in theaters in the U.S. (at least not around here... that's for sure). Yes, Rickman was the draw for me to see it and he was wonderful as usual, but it really was a great movie.
Some critics will say that autism was not "correctly" portrayed, but every autistic person is quite unique. Weaver's portrayal was believable to me. I also loved Moss' character. A woman who has a different perspective and chooses a path less taken.
Very nice! Check it out.
